Israeli residents who have adopted one or several children aged up to 10 years old, may receive an adoption allowance in order to ensure the child proper conditions and compensate parents for their loss of income due to the adoption.
The couple are able to decide which of them will be recipient of the payment for the entire period or in turn.
Please note, you can submit a claim for allowances immediately upon effective reception of the child as foster family with intent to adopt - there is no need to wait until an adoption order is delivered by a Court.
